Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was convenient and pleasant and as advertised included bread, juice, cereal, etc. Rooms and bathrooms cleaned daily and we had new towels daily and beds made. We were happy to find no bedbugs! (Which we worried about based on reading about various travel problems that people sometimes encounter during travel.) My son was impressed that the staff noticed that he preferred his blanket folded under his pillow and started making his bed that way by about day 3 of our stay. The place was not fancy, but was a good value for the money. There is a grocery two doors away where we got bread, cheese, fruit, and wine once per day to save money on meals.
Our biggest concern was the closest metro (Barbes-Rochechouart) did not feel safe at night. Young people seemed to loiter and hang out there under the bridge, so that as we came out of the metro it felt uncomfortable. Sometimes we got off at the prior metro (Aveces?) where it felt safer. Also, it was not air-conditioned, and so when it got hot, it was not the most comfortable. We kept the window open and did hear people talking at night which sometimes made it hard to sleep.
A good budget hotel, where the staff were friendly and helpful, the room may have been a little bit used, but it had been well cleaned and, the beds were comfortable.
This hotel is in good location.
there was no soudproofing in the rooms and there was a lot of noise from the other rooms
The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions. The bathroom and bedroom were of a decent size. Only a few minutes walk to Gare de Nord and not that far from shops and Sacre Ceour either.
The overall quality of the Hotel was not great, but the staff was excellent and the breakfast was good.
Near to the Gard du Nord and the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre areas. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very Parisien in ambience..
Fairly basic breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We booked it for the discounted price, otherwise it would have been too expensive. It is actually more like a backpackers hostel, but then a private room.
Very nice and kind staff amenable to help.Metro with two lines was very close to the hotel. The breakfast was nice. The room was warm.Very close to the most of sightseeings especially monmarte.
It was quite old.The neighborhood was a little bit dangerous for women alone but okay for couple.
The location just 100meters to Metro station and surround byvarious shop lot...so happy for window shopping. Muslim food easy to get..just to next door to the hotel. The man at the reception. Counter so helpful and efficient. The room is okay. The bathroom fine..
Once reach Gare du Nord..Its.so hard to fine almost 30mins round n round to fine the Reu fauborg!
Very friendly and helpfull/supportive of the hotel staff. Very goo location, easily access to Gare de Nore and Metro staion.
Cleanliness and upkeep wasn't done well. From a week of staying, some day the room had making up very well while some day didn't.
Our room (triple room) was spacious than we expected and we liked the room with balcony. Cleanliness of our room (especially bed making) was good.
We were bored with the same menu of breakfast because of for one week.
The staff was excellent! The desk clerk rode with me to take my car to be parked in the garage since I was totally unfamiliar with the area and a tourist from America. He offered to do this for me without me even asking. The breakfast was nice and enjoyable. Our luggage was kept for us during the day of our departure and we were able to return later to retrieve the luggage. The staff also suggested and directed us to a bus tour of the monuments in Paris! The staff is totally awesome! I cannot say enough good things about them.
The hotel is old and could use some updating, but for me that also added to the experience. The terrace from our room was nice and offered a nice view of the area. The neighborhood is away from the city center but there were plenty of nice places within walking distance!
The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the price was a surprise. Paid less than expected
Altona did not live up to images on the net. The hot water was marginal on first day but better on second. Breakfast was only average.
i loved the fact that the hotel was wery close to the transport facilities , I also liked the location ! i loved the breakfeast !
no hot water, and the heating system is poor.
